John has worked in the Midlands industrial & logistics market since 1998.
Prior to launching Garrison Real Estate with Jon, he was Director in the National industrial and logistics team at DTZ and Cushman & Wakefield, followed by 5 years at Gerald Eve in Birmingham.
He specialises in the industrial and logistics sector and has successfully advised a range of clients with particular focus on regional and national corporate occupiers as well as funds, developers and property companies.
He has been involved in a broad range of projects across the multi-let, mid-box and big box markets. Recent projects include the letting of 475,000 sq ft in Stafford on behalf of Sainsburys, acquiring 132,000 sq ft for LTS Global Solutions at Prologis Park Hams Hall and letting 50,000 sq ft to Andrews Sykes on behalf of Aviva Investors. He has a reputation for demonstrating integrity providing clear and accurate advice to the benefit of his clients over the last 25 years.
John is the current chair of the West Midlands Industrial Agents Society (IAS), having served on the committee for over 15 years.
Away from work, John is a long-suffering Birmingham City fan and enjoys weekends playing golf at Harborne Golf Club and in the summer enjoys having a beer (or two) watching his local cricket team Weoley Hill, where he is proud to be an honorary member.
John is married to Alex and has a son, who he spends weekends driving around to various sports activities.
Jon has worked in the Midlands property sector for over 25 years. Prior to founding Garrison Real Estate with John, he was a partner and Head of Office at Gerald Eve in Birmingham and previously held senior roles with Knight Frank and CBRE.
He specialises in acquisition, disposal and development of commercial property throughout the East and West Midlands. His commercial experience includes industrial and logistics and office sectors, as well as strategic land. On the occupational side, Jon has represented a variety of clients including retailers, logistics, manufacturing and trade occupiers as well as regional offices and national HQ operations.
Jon also provides strategic development advice on land assembly, master-planning and occupational market for a range of investor and developer clients such as Indurent, HBD, Panattoni, Trebor Developments and Chancerygate.
Jon is currently the treasurer for the National Industrial Agents Society (IAS), having served on the regional and national committees for over 15 years. As a proud Yorkshireman, Jon is a keen sporting enthusiast following his beloved Sheffield Wednesday FC, as well as enjoying cricket and rugby.
He has been able to mix his enjoyment of sport with business and post playing days tends to spend more time on the golf course. Away from work, Jon is married to Claire and has three daughters, including twins and spends weekends balancing taxi services with children and home renovation.
He is also an amateur musician, enjoying his guitar and live music, which makes for a very musical house.
